Open House Dance Collective (OHDC) takes an innovative approach to professional dance in its second Chicago concert, "R/Evolve," set to premier July 7-10 at Theatre Building Chicago. This unique company creates a team of professional choreographers who set brand new danceworks on Chicago community members to produce a public concert through which all proceeds go to charity. All shows are slated for 7 p.m. at $12 per ticket, which can be reserved by calling (773) 327-5252. For details, visit

Each Open House Dance Collective concert raises money through ticket sales that is used to provide donations for a wide range of local charities. Past charities have included the Center on Halsted and Bessie's Home for Battered Women and Children. All proceeds will be divided between the American Cancer Society "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" and the Shannon Hardy Project for teen suicide intervention.
Open House Dance Collective also hosts one professional dance company in each concert as a special guest. "R/Evolve" will feature The Dance COLEctive, under the artistic direction of Margi Cole, as that guest. "R/Evolve" runs Thursday, July 7, through Sunday, July 10, in Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. Tickets may be purchased for $12 each by calling the box office at (773) 327-5252,
or writing to boxoffice@theatrebuildingchicago.org. For more information on Open House Dance Collective visit
