Ald. Vi Daley (43rd) and the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce are hosting a meeting for bar owners and managers on Thursday, June 9, at 10:30 a.m. at Goose Island Brew Pub, 1800 N. Clybourn Ave., to address two proposed bar ordinances. One would allow 51 percent of voters living within 500 feet of a liquor establishment to sign a petition saying that the establishment is having a negative impact on the neighborhood, and at a hearing of the Mayor's License Commission, the owner of the bar would have to prove otherwise. The second ordinance changes the definition of an incidental liquor license.
