Western math & science
vs. ancient teachings of Eastern religion

Victory Gardens Theater presents David Field's "Symmetry," a brash new play set in a small Southwestern university, where modern-day physics, Eastern philosophy, corporate funded research and power play politics suddenly clash.
J. J. Johnston (right), featured actor in numerous plays and movies by David Mamet, plays John Slocum, a robotics millionaire with questionable motives for funding a brilliant young physicist's career, seen here with Chicago favorite Matt DeCaro as Neal Julian. Victory Gardens Artistic Director Dennis Zacek directs. Symmetry runs through July 10 at Victory Gardens Theater, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. Call the Victory Gardens box office, (773) 871-3000, for tickets and information, or buy tickets online at Ticketweb.com.
