Rape by acquaintance in vacant building

A 19-year-old woman was raped at 3 a.m. Friday, June 10, in an empty apartment in the 1000 block of N. Ashland Ave. by a man with a tattoo of an angel. The incident began when the woman picked up a female acquaintance in her car. The acquaintance was accompanied by a Hispanic man she had met. The group proceeded a couple blocks to pick up the offender, a black man, 20-22, 5'10”, 230 lb., going by the name of Anthony or “Midnight.” The four then drove to an apartment that was empty, dirty and full of graffiti.
About one hour later, the offender told the female acquaintance and the Hispanic man to go to the back room and that everything would be okay, so the two left. The offender pushed the woman to the floor and pulled off her shorts and underwear, despite her screams of “No!” and her resistance. She pulled his braids and ripped his tank top. He responded, “Shut up. You acting foolish. You know you want it,” and he raped her.
The female acquaintance, becoming aware of the cries for help, then entered the room. She took the victim to Weiss Hospital, where a rape kit was done to preserve evidence.
The offender had a tattoo of a bulldog on the right shoulder and an angel, surrounded by heat, on the left shoulder.
