The Chicago Cubs’ wives have published "Wrigley Field from A to Z." The children’s book features hand-drawn illustrations created by the wives of the Chicago Cubs highlighting the attractions and allure of Wrigley Field. A portion of the proceeds from each book will benefit Cubs Care, a fund of the McCormick Tribune Foundation.
Children from the surrounding New City YMCA and Peabody Elementary School were invited to a private reading by the Cubs wives and their husbands, with each child receiving a signed copy of the book. “We hope that our youngest fans will enjoy this beautiful book while learning the alphabet,” said Rebecca Polihronis, manager of Cubs Care and community relations. “Our wives have captured many of the unique aspects that make Wrigley Field so special and we hope that our young fans will enjoy learning about the place the Cubs players call home.”
To further promote the book, Chicago Cubs wives and their husbands will be making several appearances throughout the season. The wives will sell and sign their books at Wrigley Field prior to the July 2nd game. All appearances are subject to change and couples will sign only the "Wrigley Field from A to Z" books purchased.
