Old-fashioned Children's Carnival in Wicker Park Sunday

Wicker Park Children's Carnival

Chris Stoddard, owner of Rapid Transit Cycle Shop, will be providing bike safety tips for the Wicker Park Children's Carnival Sunday, June 26, at the Wicker Park Field House, 1425 N. Damen Ave. He's pictured with a folding bicycle.

The Wicker Park Children's Carnival will take place Sunday, June 26, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., at Wicker Park, 1425 N. Damen Ave. Free and open to the public, the old-fashioned Children's Carnival is a part of the Friends of Wicker Park summer series.
Featured will be the Jesse White Tumblers along with martial arts demonstrations, magic shows, face painting, storytelling, "caper with clowns" and "jump in a moonwalk," bicycle safety tips, and raffle prizes.
Kids and their parents can decorate tiles for the field house (Wicker Park Advisory Council), slide into a pool of balls (Sterling Sleep Products), or enjoy Bowling Bottles (Psyco Baby) and the Kids ID kit and coloring books (CAPS table). They can climb on a real fire truck, see Chang's Martial Arts demonstrations and Chicago Hapkido demonstrations, have Scoliosis exams to detect curvature of the spine (Dr. Estelle Nella, Bucktown Chiropractic Center), try the Moonwalk donated by Alderman Manny Flores, or go for the face painting, balloon animals, The Storybook Mom, Manifest Theater presentation, magic show, or bike safety tips and helmet fittings by Rapid Transit Cycle Shop.
