Blood Drive June 25

The Chicago Cubs Wives and LifeSource are teaming up to help fight the summer blood shortage. The wives will be hosting a blood drive at Wrigley Field on Saturday, June 25, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The drive will be held in the Friendly Confines Café which is located at the corner of Addison St. and Sheffield Ave.
Individuals who step up to the plate to donate blood will be entered in a random drawing for great Cubs' prizes. The grand prize is an autographed Derrek Lee bat. "A $5 donation will be made to Cubs Care for each registered donor at this blood drive," said Cubs' wife Tatum Borowski. "The Cubs' wives encourage everyone to donate blood and give the gift of life. Every blood donor is a hero."
One blood donation can save three lives. It is easy to donate and the process only takes about one hour. Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 lb., and be in general good health. Donors are asked to bring photo identification such as a driver's license, state ID or passport.
To schedule an appointment, please call 1-877-LIFESOURCE. Walk-ins are welcome.
