Featuring photography from Carrie Mae Weems, DePaul University will host "The Louisiana Project," July 15 through Sept. 2. Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday 11 a.m.-7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday noon-5 p.m. Incorporating photography on canvas, video and narrative, "The Louisiana Project" examines the complex history of New Orleans by drawing inspiration from the city's ritual of masquerade, while demonstrating pervasive questions of social justice, racial and sexual identity, and the legacy of slavery.
