The Hazardous Materials and Decontamination team of Saint Joseph Hospital, 2900 Lake Shore Drive, assembles a decontamination shower while testing its emergency preparedness plan. The hospital received an $80,000 Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant from the Chicago Department of Public Health and a $24,000 HRSA grant from the Illinois Department of Public Health to enhance its bioterrorism response. The funds will be used to purchase pharmaceuticals and supplies as well as assist with staff education. |
