The Northcenter Chamber of Commerce cordially invites area businesses and residents to three events in August, two of which are free.
The Chamber’s monthly "Thirsty Thursday" is an opportunity to meet your neighbors for a drink after work. On Aug. 11, Xippo at 3759 N. Damen Ave. will be the host. Drinks are regular price and complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be served.
On Wednesday, Aug. 24, Ald. Gene Schulter (47th) will be the special guest at the Chamber’s monthly luncheon. He’ll talk about the proposed SSA for Northcenter, update the Brown line renovation schedule, and share other plans affecting the businesses and residents of Northcenter. The luncheon is at Horseshoe Barbecue, 4115 N. Lincoln Ave. The cost is $25 at the door, or $20 with advance reservations. Call (773) 525-3609.
Summer concerts at the Northcenter Town Square, at Damen and Belle Plaine avenues, are the Northcenter Chamber’s gift to the community. The concerts are from 7 to 8 p.m. Performing on Wednesday, Aug. 31, is smooth-soul singer Paris Delane.
