Two women pulled off a theft at Pay/Half retail store, 1143 W. Berwyn Ave., at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 28. They entered the store and said they wanted to return miscellaneous clothing. When the clerk left the counter to go to the office to check on the return, the offenders grabbed new items and went behind the counter to remove the electronic theft-protection tags. Then they exited the store with about $200 in goods. They jumped into a gray mini-van which took off.
