Anna Duerr, R.N., C.D.E., Diabetes Nurse Educator at Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, received certification in diabetes education (C.D.E.) from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators. “By achieving these credentials, Anna and the rest of our Diabetes Education team can continue to deliver excellent care to our patients with diabetes,” says Maria Chichelly, Director, Behavioral Health and Ambulatory Services. Saint Joseph Hospital’s Diabetes Education Program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association. Since its inception in March 2003, the program has helped more than 500 patients understand how to effectively manage the disease. |
