Susana Marotta, executive director of SGA Youth and Family Services, has announced the success of the premiere of "Snapshots," the 2005 fundraising gala of the social service agency.  Over 200 attended the world premiere and $90,000 was raised, which will be used for mental health and prevention services aimed at keeping Chicago's youth in school.
Created by young filmmakers from Columbia College, "Snapshots" is a unique vehicle through which to educate the audience about the issues and challenges facing young people in the city. The young filmmakers were able to connect with Chicago's youth, creating a fresh and unique dialogue that runs throughout the film. The touching documentary will be used in the future as an educational tool for social workers and others serving youth professionals.
