Mid-North Association (MNA) is now accepting requests for their annual grants from charities, schools and other tax-exempt organizations located in or serving the Mid-North area. These grants typically range from $500 to $1,500 — but under exceptional circumstances they might consider making a slightly larger grant. Mid-North Association does, however, reserve the right to reject any and all applications.
Applications should be on the organization's stationery, briefly describe the organization, and state the amount requested and purposes for which the funds will be used. Organizations other than governmental entities should enclose a copy of their IRS tax exemption letter. Applications should be sent to: Mid-North Association, 2038 N. Clark St., PMB 164, Chicago, IL 60614.
To be considered, requests must be received by Nov. 10, 2005. The grant awards will be announced and checks distributed at MNA's annual meeting in January 2006. Grant recipients will be encouraged to participate in MNA's annual fund-raising Music Fest to be held in June 2006.
Mid-North Association was incorporated in 1957 and is concerned with neighborhood preservation and beautification, building codes and zoning, safety, City services, traffic, parking, street noise, cleanliness, and other issues affecting the quality of life in the Mid-North area. Membership is open to local residents and businesses. Mid-North's service area is bounded by Lincoln Ave., Lincoln Park, Fullerton Pkwy., and the former Ogden Ave. right-of-way (just south of Armitage Ave.).
