Cadet Andrew John Watson, son of John and Grace Watson of Chicago, completed Cadet basic training at the U. S. Military Academy, West Point, NY.
Watson entered the military academy on June 27, 2005. Cadets learn basic military skills, including leadership, through a demanding Military Program which begins their first day at West Point. Most military training takes place during the summer, with new cadets undergoing Cadet Basic Training—or Beast Barracks—the first year. Military Training is combined with military science instruction to provide a solid military foundation for officership.
Watson graduated from Northside College Preparatory High School in 2005. He plans to graduate in 2009 from West Point and be commissioned a second lieutenant in the U. S. Army. |
