From 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Nov. 3, Kathy Hart will host the last event in Ald. Gene Schulter’s (47th) women’s health series, “Strengthening Women at Every Age: Mind, Body and Spirit.” Entitled “Warrior Spirit,” this event will feature hands-on self-defense and safety demonstrations led by martial arts and safety experts, including Fred Degerberg from Degerberg Academy and Golden Glove boxing champ Rita Figueroa. Raffle prizes will be awarded at the event and include: a one hour massage gift certificate, $20 Fleet Feet gift certificate, 25 one-month Degerberg Academy memberships, plus many more. The event is free and participants must be present to win raffle prizes. Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required. Call Ald.
