Mama Eva Sanchez celebrated her 83rd birthday with her son, Sergio, at his restaurant, The Twisted Lizard, 1964 N. Sheffield Ave. Mama Eva is in Chicago from her home in Cuernavaca, Mexico, for her month-long annual visit with Sergio. The Twisted Lizard showcases Sergio's native Southwestern Mexican cuisine and bears Sergio's and Mama Eva's original recipes. Stop in at 6:30 p.m. or later Tuesday, Nov. 1, when she will greet all customers prior to heading back to Mexico. |
