After a summer recess, the senior groups of Ravenswood Covenant Church and Fifty Plus Seniors are ready to roll again, and they invite you to join them for some of their upcoming meetings and outings which are held Fridays at 11 a.m. at 4900 N. Damen Ave. Bring your own bag lunch for regular meetings and enjoy interesting programs and live entertainment for only $3 per meeting, which covers the cost of the entertainment, coffee, tea and miscellaneous expenses. Here is their schedule for the next couple of months:
Nov. 4—Nora Lloyd will give a talk about the American Indians. There will be a Pow Wow Dance demonstration. Bring a bag lunch.
Nov. 18—The Sloppy Joe Luncheon, with salads and desserts, costs $10 per person.
Dec. 2—Gift exchanges and celebration of fourth quarter birthdays will both take place. Bring a bag lunch.
Dec. 16—Don't miss the day outing to the Fireside Playhouse in Fort Atkinson, WI, for a beautiful holiday Christmas variety show. The cost is $65 per person and includes dinner, the performance and bus ride. Bring snacks for the bus if desired. Browse through the fine shops for exclusive gift items. The bus leaves at 8 a.m. and returns about 5:30 p.m.
