Artistic collaboration of creativity, boundless energy

Enjoy “Moving Chicago” and its dynamic poetry, emotive music, and film—all based on Chicago—performed at 6:30 p.m. both Friday, Nov. 4, and Saturday, Nov. 5, in the Peter Jones Gallery and Studio, 1806 W. Cuyler Ave., second floor. “Moving Chicago” is being produced and performed by South Africa’s own HA!Man, Francois leRoux, whose original music and Chicago visuals are unforgettable.
Experimental sound expert Eric Leonardson will perform on his innovative springboard, while acclaimed musician Peter C. Bartels plays trumpet, flute and trombone. The music accompanies poetry written and performed by award-winning “Beach Poet” Cathleen Schandelmeier. Meanwhile, dramatic footage of Chicago sweeps the audience on a journey to the heart of the Windy City.
There will be a bonus pre-show by the HA!Man on his cello, as well as a sneak preview of Schandelmeier's new book, “Chicago Phoenix,” published by Puddin'head Books. Tickets are $12 adults, $6 children. For reservations, call (773) 472-6725 or email pete@peterjonesgallery.com. For more information about the HA!Man, Francois leRoux, go to www.hamanworld.com.
