Learn how to prevent stroke

A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is severely reduced or blocked, which can cause brain damage. Individuals who have a stroke are at an increased risk for suffering another stroke or even a heart attack. Saint Joseph Hospital is offering a free lecture, Preventing a Stroke, from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, in the Boikan Conference Room of the hospital, 2900 N. Lake Shore Drive.
