Stores, boutiques and restaurants will participate in the first "Old Town Holiday Walk" from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, to celebrate the season. The event takes place on five blocks of Wells St., from Division St. north to Lincoln Ave. (1200-1700 North), as well as on North Ave. and other adjacent streets.
To create "a shoppers' paradise" for browsing, strolling and, of course, buying, many merchants will be having sales. Street carolers, hot cider and a gift wrap station will be added to the mix to enhance the festive holiday mood. Shoppers and visitors are also encouraged to take a break by grabbing lunch or dinner at one of the many eclectic restaurants in the neighborhood.
