The Second City will present Robbie Fulks for an exclusive one night engagement at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in The Black Orchid Theater, 1608 N. Wells St., 3rd Floor of Piper's Alley.
Robbie Fulks not only knows and loves old-style country music, he brings its spirit, humor and otherworldliness to his own work. He devoted an entire album to rare and obscure country songs that almost no one in latter-day Nashville had even heard. Fulks still writes songs that make you think and feel—and sometimes laugh out loud. Now, after several years out of the spotlight, he's back with a new album of new songs for a new label, Yep Roc Records, titled "Georgia Hard."
