Holiday happenings in Lincoln Square

On Saturday, Dec. 3, two groups will sing at Giddings Plaza, 4731 N. Lincoln Ave. Waters Elementary School choir will sing holiday tunes at 2:30 p.m. At 3:30 p.m. enjoy the Queen of Angels choir, followed by the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce and Ald. Gene Schulter (47th) officially lighting up the holiday tree
at 4 p.m.
At 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, the Davis Theater, 4614 N. Lincoln Ave., will show "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" and "Elf," with free admission in exchange for a donation of canned goods, and free large popcorn in exchange for a donation of a new, unwrapped toy (no stuffed animals please). Doors open at 9 a.m. Also that day, at 1 p.m. the German-American Children’s Choir will perform seasonal favorites in Giddings Plaza.
At 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, the Luther Memorial Choir will sing songs to warm the heart in Giddings Plaza.
