Not many high school art students get such wide exposure for their work as Lincoln Park High School senior Rossitza Kotelova, the winner of the 2006-07 City of Chicago city sticker design contest. Her graphic design got the most votes in balloting—1,161 of the 6,000 votes cast—which was done through calls, e-mails and walk-in votes. She will receive a $1,000 savings bond and her design will appear on 1.3 million car windshields all over Chicago.
''She included images that reflect many of the cultural aspects that make the city a great place to live and visit,'' City Clerk James Laski said. This year's theme was ''City of Neighborhoods.'' |
