Chicago theater artists will join together for a free evening of readings and performance addressing the challenges and responsibilities of citizenship under the current administration at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16. The event, When in the Course of Human Events: Creative Disobedience and Why the World Can't Wait, will be held in the Steppenwolf Upstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted St., and will be organized by Martha Lavey, Anna D. Shapiro, Sheldon Patinkin, and Joann Shapiro. Anna D. Shapiro will direct.
