WBBM radio news anchor Felicia Middlebrooks will be the featured guest at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at a pre-show Humanities Night for "I Have Before Me a Remarkable Document Given To Me by a Young Lady From Rwanda," at Victory Gardens Theater (VGT), 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. Middlebrooks will discuss her new documentary film, "Somebody's Child: The Redemption of Rwanda," which chronicles the 10th anniversary of the 1994 Rwandan genocide in which a million people were slaughtered. She will screen excerpts from and describe the making of "Somebody's Child," winner of Best Documentary Short over 62 other entries at the New York International Independent Film Festival.
The Humanities Night, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., will be followed at 8 p.m. by "...Young Lady From Rwanda." The pre-show event is free and open to the public. Box lunches from Bourgeois Pig!
