Traveling to the airports has become a lot more comfortable. Airport Express, a division of Continental Air Transport, recently added 16 new Ford Econoline vans to upgrade its fleet of more than 100 vehicles. The new vans provide more space for passengers and luggage.
A redesigned seating configuration offers more room and comfort for passengers by replacing bench seating near the front of the van with dual and single seats, and reducing the maximum number of passengers per van from 11 to 10. The arrangement accommodates passengers with special needs, while freeing up legroom for others. The roomier luggage compartment also has been redesigned and is more aesthetically appealing.
Additionally, the new vans are more environmentally friendly. The Econoline recently passed a strict emission standard that had not been previously met by vans of its size.
“These vans are part of our two-year rotation,” said Mike Zuniga, Airport Express director of safety and training. “The goal is to continue to offer the safest and most comfortable transportation for our customers and the community.”
Airport Express, a division of Continental Air Transport, provides transportation for more than one million passengers to and from Chicago’s airports annually. Continental also offers a full-line of buses, mini-buses and coaches to accommodate any size group. For reservations, call (888) 2 THE VAN, (888) 284-3826, or log on to www.airportexpress.com.
