The Northcenter Chamber of Commerce hosts its first Thirsty Thursday of 2006 at Lincoln Restaurant, 4008 N. Lincoln Ave., from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9. There is no charge for members or guests, and complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be served. Guests are invited to stay for the Thursday night stand-up comedy show. For Northcenter members and guests, the $8 show tickets will be reduced to $4.
On Thursday, Feb. 23, the Chamber presents the first in a series of "The Best New Ideas for Your Business." The luncheon at Jalapeno Sabroso, 3900 N. Lincoln Ave., features the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce's Entrepreneurial Center. This team of business experts will come into your place of business and give free, one-on-one advice. Also on the agenda is information about Northcenter's SSA that will raise $146,000 from local taxes earmarked for improvements in the community. Northcenter Chamber represents businesses in an area bordered by Montrose Ave. on the north, Addison St. on the south, Ashland and Clark avenues on the east and California Ave. on the west.
