River North entrepreneur contest

River North comprises a unique community of residential developments, restaurants and retailers; night clubs, social service agencies and small businesses; art galleries, hotels and health clubs. The River North Association (RNA) is asking the public to help them select a business that represents the best of River North for its annual Entrepreneur Award.

Any business in River North, bounded by the Chicago River on the south and west, Division St. on the north and Wabash Ave. on the east, large or small, is eligible. RNA judges, chaired by North Community Bank’s Jeff Hurder, will judge on two criteria: a proven track record of business success and a history of giving back to the community or charities.

To nominate a business, send one page describing the business’ product or service as well as philanthropic activities to the River North Association, 70 W. Hubbard St., Suite 405, Chicago, IL 60610. You can fax a nomination to (312) 645-1151 or email it to visitrna@xsite.net. A nomination form is also on RNA’s Web site: www.rivernorthassociation.com. The deadline for submitting applications is Feb. 15.
