The Associated Colleges of the Midwest Chicago Arts Program presents the 14th semi-annual Illegitimate Arts Festival for one night only. Featuring up-and-coming artists from across the country, the festival continues to thrive on the artistic experimentation that exists in Chicago art world. Using the city as their classroom, the students of the Chicago Arts Program have challenged the boundaries of their own artistic and conceptual abilities, and created a multi-disciplinary body of work incorporating their discoveries.
This season’s Illegitimate Arts Festival will include a gallery opening featuring print work, photography, and a group installation under the direction of Chicago artist Oli Watt; the presentation of an originally devised multimedia theatre piece from the students of Bea Bosco; and original music and audio from Lloyd Brodnax King and Chicago Tune Works.
The Illegitimate Arts Festival takes place Friday, May 10, at 6 p.m. in 3340 N. Clark St., Room 300. Admission is free and open to the public. No reservations are required. For more information, call Adam Yoffe at (773) 529-4458, ext. 10.
