The Art Institute of Chicago will be the host institution for Elderhostel for the sixth season of the summer intergenerational programs for seniors and young people ages 9-12. Interested seniors and children can participate in the program during either July 7-13 or July 21-27.
Elderhostel is the international organization offering educational travel to seniors 55 years of age and older. Seniors are invited to spend a stimulating week with a young person, 9-12, and enjoy museum exposure to art from around the world. As always, this exciting summer will include intergenerational activities that are designed to delight both our older and younger hostelers.
A participant has the option of joining the full program or joining as a commuter, and the option of attending either July 7-13 or July 21-27. To register for the full Elderhostel program, which includes meals, lectures, events, and a six-night stay at the Chicago Athletic Association, located across the street from the Art Institute, contact Elderhostel at (877) 426-8056.
