The Chicago International Children's Film Festival (CICFF), the largest festival of children's films in the U.S., seeks qualified industry professionals from all backgrounds for the Festival's prestigious Adult Jury. The Jury's work helps to promote awareness of quality children's media, and encourages filmmakers to continue producing intelligent and original films for children.
The CICFF's Adult Jury will judge films based on several criteria including: artistry, production values and creativity. Films that receive the CICFF's "stamp of approval" by winning an Adult Jury prize are highly regarded within the industry.
This year, animated and live action short films that receive first prize awards from the Adult Jury may be eligible to compete for Academy Awards in the category of short films.
All prizes awarded by the Adult Jury will be presented to filmmakers at the 19th Annual Award Presentation Ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 3.
An orientation meeting for the CICFF's 2002 Adult Jury will be held Tuesday, July 9, at 6 p.m. at Facets Multi-Media, 1517 W. Fullerton Ave. Juries and Jury schedules will be determined on this date.
