Special to InsideThe North Center/Lincoln Square Neighborhood Association is sponsoring its Second Annual Coffee Crawl and Footpath Rally on Saturday, June 29. Participants walk a three-mile route past locally owned retail stores and coffee shops while answering obscure questions about things along the way. Prizes from local businesses, including a free class at Old Town School of Folk Music and other valuable dinner and discount certificates, will be awarded to contestants answering the most questions correctly. Other prizes have been donated by The Davis theater, La Bocca della Verita, Paulina Market and more. All ages are welcome to play.
Participants may pick up an entry form between 8 a.m. and noon and start "crawling" from any of these participating coffee shops: Beans & Bagels, 1812 W. Montrose Ave., Cafe Florida, 4356 N. Leavitt St., Katerina's, 1920 W. Irving Park Rd., Old Town School of Folk Music Cafe, 4544 N. Lincoln Ave., The Perfect Cup, 4700 N. Damen Ave., or Sweet Occasions, 4639 N. Damen Ave. Completed entries must be turned in by 3 p.m. at any of the participating coffee shops, The entry fee is $1 for NC/LS Neighborhood Association members and $5 for non-members. Those joining NC/LS at the event may participate for free.

The North Center/Lincoln Square Neighborhood Association was established in December 1999. Its mission is to promote the open discussion of issues affecting the community; encourage the development of the neighborhood as pedestrian-minded, physically pleasing, and varied in use; and maintain the social, cultural and economic diversity of the neighborhood.
