A $5,000 reward for the capture and conviction of a sex offender has been offered by a local business. The offender has been plaguing the North side of Chicago since May. The offender is wanted for sexual assaults of several girls that are five to seven years old. The offenses occurred in the 4800 block of N. Clark St. and the 3300 block of W. Lawrence Ave.
Sometimes, the offender approaches the victims on the street riding a silver or gray bicycle. He attempts to win their confidence and when he does, he assaults them. On one occasion he was seen boarding a Lawrence Ave. bus at Clark St. going west.
Similar incidents have occurred recently in the 5200 block of N. Winthrop Ave., the 6400 block of N. Claremont, and the 2000 block of W. Howard St.
The offender is a male Hispanic, approximately 20-30 years old, 5’6”, 160 lb., with brown hair, dark eyes, and a medium complexion.
