Lincoln Park branch of Chase Manhattan Mortgage has stellar third quarter

In a struggling economy, one local enterprise sees business booming. Chase Manhattan Mortgage Company’s Lincoln Park branch saw record results for its third quarter. For the three-month period ending Sept. 30, the branch closed 143 loans, representing $36.8 million. This represents a 153 percent increase over results in the second quarter 2002. Sales Manager Jill Sovick plus loan officers Amy Kruse, Bridget Swan, and Kevin Koetters led the outstanding performance. Sovick is a Leaders’ Club member and in the top 1 percent of Chase loan officers nationwide.
“With interest rates at record lows, we’re seeing lots of first time home buyers, people moving to more expensive homes in Lincoln Park and surrounding areas, and many existing homeowners refinancing,” explained Sovick.
Chase opened the branch during the third quarter of 2001. The third quarter results were the branch’s best to date.
“Our Lincoln Park branch is thriving and we see no end in sight,” said Wesley Ley, regional manager for Chase Manhattan Mortgage Company. “Teamwork, great loan products, increasing awareness of the Chase brand, and hard work by everyone are all clearly paying off,” continued Ley.
Chase is the retail financial services franchise within JPMorgan Chase. The merger of The Chase Manhattan Corporation and J.P. Morgan & Co. Incorporated was completed on Dec. 31, 2000. Chase customers include more than 30 million individuals and small businesses across the U.S.
