Italian artist Anna Caser of Verona will be present at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Party to kick-off the sale of its holiday cards, proceeds of which benefit the Orchestra, on Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The party will be held at the Peter Bartlow Gallery, 44 E. Superior St. Peter Bartlow represents Anna Caser.
This year the party will have a totally Italian theme. Famed Chicago restaurants Coco Pazzo and Bice will provide the hors d’oeuvres and Antinori Italian red and white wines will be served. An additional treat is a piece of Italian glass donated by Neiman Marcus for the party’s door prize. An accordionist will serenade the guests with Italian tunes.
The Honorable Enrico Granara, Consul General of Italy, and Francesca Valenta, Associate Consul General, will be honored guests at the event on Oct. 16.
The Holiday Card Chairman is Carole Book of Lincoln Park and the Italian party chairman is Madlyn Daniel of the Near North Side. Members of the committee include Nancy Berman, Phyllis Greene, Merrily Ketchum, Florence Larson, Georgia Lochridge, and Elaine Rosen of the Near North Side. Other committee members are Carol Epkins of Lake Bluff, Marianne Miner of Park Ridge, Susan Patten of Inverness and Sandra Smith of Evanston.
