CALLING ALL HIGH SCHOOL ART STUDENTS!!

Here’s your chance to show off your artistic ability and be published. Just send Inside Publications an 8 1/2-by-11-inch vertical black and white drawing of a North Side landmark with a holiday twist by Thursday, Dec. 19, 5 p.m. The best drawing, as chosen by the Inside staff, will grace the cover of the holiday issue of our newspaper (Dec. 25) and receive a $100 savings bond or a gift certificate to a local art supply store. Past winners have drawn a tomb at Graceland Cemetery wrapped in holiday lights, the Picasso sculpture at Daley Plaza wearing a Santa hat and surrounded by snow, elves climbing all over the Marshall Field’s Clock on State St. and animals at the Lincoln Park Zoo all dressed in holiday wear. Please send your drawing, along with your name, age, telephone number and your high school’s name, to: Inside Publications, Holiday Drawing Contest, 4710 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago, IL 60625. Good luck! For more details call Mary Corrado or David Harrell at (773) 878-7334.
