A third major antique mall has opened in Edgewater this month at 6314 N. Broadway, making Edgewater the Chicago community with the most antique dealers and giving Edgewater the opportunity to become a destination shopping area. The Edgewater Antique Mall has 22 dealers, with room for more, and is the brainchild of experienced antique dealers Paul Chaty and Sheila Shapiro. The mall houses the city’s largest collection of Century of Progress memorabilia and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The grand opening was “a great success” according to Shapiro. “We couldn’t be more pleased with the reception we got from Edgewater,” Shapiro continued. “People were really impressed with our variety of antiques including mission to modern furniture, accessories, jewelry and vintage.” |
