The Community Development Commission (CDC) has approved the city’s purchase of the Riviera Theater, 4746 N. Racine Ave. The city hopes to find partners in the private sector to restore and renovate the historic 1917 theater that, unlike the Uptown Theater, is currently available for productions. The CDC is responsible for reviewing all city-initiated redevelopment projects. |
