Chicago Shakers, a new social and adventure club for Chicago area residents who want to have fun and meet other interesting and accomplished people, is hosting an Oscar party in conjunction with the 39th Chicago International Film Festival. Beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 23, attend this Academy Awards night party at the Park West, 322 W. Armitage Ave. For a flat fee of $45 per person, attendees will enjoy an open bar and food throughout the evening.
For those searching for friendships, relationships, or just a group with common interests, Chicago Shakers offers a wide variety of events and opportunities including wine tastings, sailing, biking, dance lessons, black tie events, Chicago theater outings, martini parties, and travel opportunities. In addition to the Oscar party, Chicago Shakers is also hosting Vodka Tasting & Hors D'oeuvres on Wednesday, March 26, at Russian Tea Time, 77 E. Adams St. Attendees will taste billberry and horseradish Vodka along with various other flavors.
Try the Beginning SCUBA Lessons and Weekend PADI Certification Program. Join Chicago Shakers on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. at Underwater Safaris, 2950 N. Lincoln Ave., to obtain their SCUBA certification. This is a private class for Chicago Shakers at a discounted rate. The classroom and pool are both located at the store.
